Clips into the ashtray aperture, and with the correct hardware (clamps / arms etc) pretty much any device can be mounted securely to the dash - for example, phone holders, sat navs, dash cams.

The mount has a removable blanking plug that is sized to allow a standard sized USB plug to pass thorugh so you can drop a USB (or any other power / data cable) down into the interior of the dashboard - for power or any other type of connection.
